Mastering Live Virtual Delivery Over the Internet

Struggling with how to deliver high impact, consistent, engaging and meaningful web conferencing presentations or training?

With an ever increasing reliance on web conferencing and other conferencing tools for training, business meetings and client support, there is now an even greater demand for quality web conferencing sessions.

Most presenters and trainers fall into the habit of using web conferencing simply like an online PowerPoint, droning on and on, but in fact, web conferencing (and other web conferencing programs) have a whole range of built-in features to ensure that any session can be highly interactive and effective for participants.

Now, A.S.K Learning offers a new workshop specifically designed to take web conferencing presenters and trainers through how best to utilize the available functionality to ensure that your participants are kept awake and interested!

Art Fromm, A.S.K Learning’s ‘Web Conferencing Master’ designed and built the course to cover everything from how to start the meeting on the right note through to content, structure, interactions and on-screen tools (such as breakout sessions, polls, annotations, document sharing, forums etc). “The underlying objective of this program is to provide a range of techniques to effectively engage the audience for maximum participation and uptake,” says Art. “Facilitators and presenters can therefore overcome the challenges and potential shortcomings of the virtual environment and utilise best practices before, during and after the webinar session.”

The format is flexible, but typically the course is delivered via two 2-hour sessions to a small group of 4-10 people. The first session is an interactive workshop covering the challenges and opportunities of Virtual Delivery versus in-person sessions, and includes demonstrations of certain web conferencing features, plus where and when to use them for maximum impact. In the second session, the participants get hands-on experience, and have the opportunity to deliver their own live web conferencing presentation, utilising the new skills they have learnt.

The level of learner participation and a flexible delivery style is what makes this course so appealing to attendees, particularly those who find it difficult to schedule an entire day away from the office. Art highlights, “The training is conducted via the internet using a webinar capability and audio conference. Participants can log in from anywhere, taking away the drama of course scheduling, flights and accommodation, which are often barriers for companies and individuals in undertaking training.”

Web conferencing is just one of many webinar tools currently on the market and this course can certainly be modified to suit any video/web conferencing technology platform your organisation may use.
