One to One Coaching
A.S.K Learning offers one to one coaching services, including Skills Coaching, Performance Coaching and Developmental Coaching. Coaching can be taken up as a stand-alone program or as follow up and reinforcement to individuals who have attended group training workshops. Each situation is assessed for the style that is most appropriate.
The aim of any workplace coaching program is to facilitate the self-directed learning, personal growth and work performance of the members of the organisation within a supporting co-operative atmosphere. Coaching may address specific personal projects, business success or general conditions in the coachee’s life or profession. It may also include value clarification, brainstorming, identifying plans of action, examining modes of operating in life, asking clarifying questions and making empowering requests or suggestions of action.
Successful coaching requires an active collaborative approach between the coachee and coach. Throughout the working relationship the coach will engage in direct and personal conversations – the coach plays the role of a facilitator of change and it’s the coachee’s responsibility to enact change.
We generally begin every coaching program with a meeting between the coach, the organisation and the coachee. This meeting establishes clarity of the current situation, a context for proceeding and parameters for the program goals. A tailored program is then developed with the coachee, which identifies issues that coaching can assist with and priorities to focus on. Typically, each coaching session follows the GROW and RE-GROW model, in which the coach and coachee jointly decide on the goal/s for each session and systematically work through them using a range of support tools.
